The Association for
Business Communication (ABC) is an international organisation committed to
fostering excellence in business communication scholarship, research, education,
and practice. lt has been operating for more than sixty years.
Currently the ABC is organised into five regions in the United States and four international regions: Canada, Europe, Asia/Pacific Rim, and Caribbean/Central/South America. At the request of the European members of the Association, ABC Europe was established in November 1996 as a new region of the Association for Business Communication. The regional president (Vice President Europe) was elected through a vote of European members. In this short time, ABC Europe has attracted much interest and the number of European members in ABC has grown by over one hundred percent.
The convention will be held
at the Aarhus School of Business.
This conference venue is ideally situated only 5 min. (by bus) from the city
centre and 5-10 min. (on foot) from the Old Town.
The Aarhus School of Business (ASB) was established in 1939 and is a
self-governing institution with university status. Given its university status,
the Business School bases its teaching on on-going research. Teaching also
benefits from close ties to the business community, ensuring that study
programmes are continously adjusted to meet the needs of the business community.
Two faculties carry out the research and teaching - the Faculty of Business
Administration and the Faculty of Modern Languages. The school has 6000
students.
